American Business Women’s Association

The Lakeland Downtown Chapter was chartered on July 30, 1996, with just 44 women. We have since grown and are now considered one of the largest ABWA Chapter in the country.

This Lakeland networking group is involved in helping members achieve their career goals through personal and professional development, as well as networking their businesses.

Members also raise funds for scholarships through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Foundation, offering opportunities for women to earn college degrees, retrain for the workplace or take continuing education courses through our national online community, the APEX Campus.

Our chapter is proud to have achieved the coveted Level One Best Practices Award from our national organization each year.

We meet for our General Meeting every month’s 2nd Tuesday at Grasslands Golf & Country Club in Lakeland, with Networking from 11:00 am – 11:30 AM and General Meeting with lunch from 11:30 – 1:00 PM. The cost is only $30 per attendee, with early bird pricing available the week before! Join us next month at Grasslands- 1600 Grasslands Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33803.
